Benchmark Scientific MyFuge Mini Centrifuge with Two Rotors
The Benchmark Scientific MyFuge™ Mini Centrifuge C1008 is a compact personal centrifuge designed for quick spin-downs of microtubes and PCR tubes.
The MyFuge includes two interchangeable rotors: an eight-position microtube rotor and a four-position PCR strip rotor. Benchmark Scientific’s Clik-N-Lok™ rotor attachment allows the rotor to be changed without traditional rotor screws or tools.
The centrifuge operates at 6,000 RPM and 2,000 × g and is designed for simple lid-activated operation. Close the lid and the rotor accelerates to operating speed; open the lid and the rotor decelerates rapidly for sample removal. Benchmark states that the rotor decelerates in approximately one second.

Two Included Rotors for Microtubes and PCR Tubes
The MyFuge C1008 includes an eight-position microtube rotor that is installed in the centrifuge and a second rotor for 0.2 mL PCR tubes and strips.
The included rotor configurations provide capacity for:
- 8 × 1.5/2.0 mL tubes
- 32 × 0.2 mL tubes
- 4 PCR strips
Benchmark also provides a storage compartment on the bottom of the centrifuge for the PCR rotor, rotor removal key, and 0.5 mL adapters. This allows the second rotor and accessories to be stored with the centrifuge when they are not in use.
Clik-N-Lok™ Rotor Attachment
The MyFuge uses Benchmark Scientific’s Clik-N-Lok™ instant rotor attachment system.
This design allows users to switch between the microtube rotor and PCR rotor without a conventional rotor screw.
Quick Spin-Down Operation
Benchmark Scientific describes the MyFuge Mini Centrifuge as ideal for quick spin-downs of microtubes and PCR tubes.
Closing the lid starts the centrifuge and brings the rotor to 6,000 RPM. Opening the lid causes the rotor to decelerate rapidly, with Benchmark specifying a deceleration time of approximately one second.
